I remember when June use to tease me about calling him and Neil old. At the time I was 22 years old and Neil was 27 and June was 29. He teased me about that all the time. We had many good laughs together and looking for more in our beautiful future that awaits us.
I remember when June asked me how I was doing one day he saw me at the Hall when I was a little down. He took the time to actually listen to me. He assured me that things would get better.
I remember brother Johnson June and bro kool as a loving brother father and friend and he is going to very much missed
I am sorry that I did not get a chance to meet my brother, From what I ear from the congregation I believe I would have been impressed. I look forward to seeing him in the resurrection. In the mean time I will continue enjoying the companionship of my sister.

I remember when June came to my 1st Spiritual Gathering in 1982 when I lived down the street from y'all on Hazelwood Street. We had a GOOD time as we will again in the near future!!! I can taste those ribs na Brotha Kool!
I remember when he and sister Johnson, were a beautiful couple and you would always see them together at the hall and at home. They were very hospitable.
I remember when I came to the Collinwood Cong. I noticed that he had a beautiful way of talking to you. And I loved to hear him read.
I remember when June Was looking for a baby from me. Even years later, "Bro Kool ain't no baby in there", I wld say and he wld walk away with that Robert Johnson swag.
Our last time together was May 18th 2024. He had just gotten out of rehab or the hospital and was watching one of my favorite westerns. I walked in and said, I'm ur huckleberry. He looks at me like what u know abt that. warm fuzzies.
I remember when Brother Johnson would let me and my sisters spend the night with Candy, Peaches and Angel. He treated us like we were his own. That’s rare these days and he will be missed. We love you Brother Johnson.
I remember when June Gave me the name, (The Captain), and nobody else, could call me that. We both laughed. When someone would hear him call me that, they would ask, why he call you, The Captain? So if you want to know why he called me that, when he wake up, in Paradise, you can ask him, my friend.
I remember when We first met June,it was in Michigan at a reunion.
I remember when Brother Johnson help me when my husband passed away.
I remember when he made me and Peaches sit in the front seat of the car with him. He was definitely a protective father. I was 18 at the time.
Later he gave her away to me. I am always thankful.
I remember when Robert use to tell my younger brother to stop bothering me. He used to say “stop John-John because his name is Jonathan. Good memories.
I remember Brother Johnson and his family from the Linwood Congregation such a beautiful family
I remember when Brother Johnson would make the car groups for field service so much fun. He was always happy and funny. If you were having a bad day and if you happened to be in Bro Johnson's car group you would forget that you were having a bad day. His humor and genuine concern for others was part of who he was and it showed. It was a pleasure to have known Bro Johnson and to call him and his family friends
I remember when Bro. Johnson, made my son, Lantz, his assistance Book Study Conductor, so he could go to Cleveland, Ohio, with Nell.
I remember when I met sister Johnson years ago on the Bethel trip it was a pleasure to sit next to her and she talked a lot about her husband!
One of my fondest memory of Brother Johnson is when he came to my home to sit in on my dad's bible study. Later after the study was over and brother Johnson and his companion visit for a while. We had fun! After they went home, my dad said “You know what? That's one Kool dude, I like him. I'd smile and said yup, I like him too. He was a fun and down to earth kind of guy. Brotha Kool indeed! Him & Nell would wear matching colors. They could " jump sharp" at whatever the occasion! Truly an awesome couple.
I remember Bro Johnson always made an effort to speak to me at every meeting. He was very loving and like an honorary grandfather.

I remember when Bob had to help me reset my spiritual button. He always did it in a spirit of mildness and he was so easy to talk with. He kept that smile on his face.
I remember when I had a great conversation with Bro Johnson for first time in the kitchen when Nell invited us to hospitality. We hit it off well like we've been knowing each other for a long time. We bonded from that time on. Later Art & I started calling him Pops and he & Nell called Art Pops. We feel like family.
I remember when June welcomed my son and me into his home with open arms. Ready and willing to offer comfort and wisdom to us both!
I remember whenever I saw Brother Johnson at the meeting, he always had a warm smile and he was very approachable.
I remember when Brother Johnson was the first brother I really appreciate it on my studies with him and his wife all the while they were in Detroit Michigan they stayed by my side and helped me become the spiritual sister that I have become in Detroit Michigan at the South Redford congregation I will love him, his wife, and all his family members for always being part of my life as a happy family and Jehovah's organization.
I remember when we first met many years ago over brother Ernest James house.
I remember being at the Johnson home, having fun laughing and listening to music, and yes, eating Ribs ( Smile)
I remember when Brotha Kool fit Robert perfectly. He & Nell had the strong "ol school type, steady love" They often matched their colors & their style of dress made them both Koool !
June was the love of my life. We met in our teenage years and fell in love. We had three beautiful daughters - they were our world, and we loved our girls. We were proud of them because we taught them the truth about Jehovah, they found Jehovah and are still serving Jehovah until this day. We had five beautiful grandchildren. We loved them like they were our own children, having a close relationship with each one of them. And we had two more beautiful grandchildren and great - grandchildren, who we loved dearly. You are going to be missed - the love of my life. We are all going to see you in Paradise.

I know my dad is sleeping because death is not permanent. Knowing one of our last conversations was my dad telling me that he taught his daughters to love Jehovah and that he was so proud of all of us and his family. That conversation will be forever etched in my heart and memory. I will make my dad proud of me forever by continuing to serve Jehovah faithfully and loyally even during this difficult time. My dad was the best father in the world. He was always there for me and our entire family. It makes me so happy to know how proud you were of being a great grandfather and being able to see me become a grandmother to two beautiful grandchildren. It warms my heart to see how much you loved our mom and all of us. I will always love my dad forever. I will be one of the first in line, waiting for you in paradise.

Dad was the pillar of our family and the best grand-father. He taught us to always put Jehovah first. I will continue to live according to Jehovah's ways and instill the same values in Nyomi. You were proud of us, but I am proud of you. You kept your faith no matter what trial you faced and I will always remember that. I love you forever Dad, (Mr. Kool), our family pillar. I can't wait to tell you all the stories about Nyomi when I see you in paradise. Just a little while longer. and I'll be waiting.

You were my very first and favorite dance partner. I remember as a little girl you and mom would play music in the living room, you would always let me stand on your feet and we would dance around the living room. You would twirl me around and around making me feel like I was really dancing. I had so much fun doing that with you and as I grew older every now and then you would still give me a twirl. I'm going to miss you so much dad you were truly the best and I can't wait to see you and dance with you again.

I remember when Brother Johnson would comment at the meetings, the friends would always listen. From those comments I could tell that this was one serious brother who did not play around when it came to serving Jehovah. He could balance seriousness with humor. He was flexible yet firm.
I remember when June would be in the lobby at the Kingdom Hall when we came to the meeting. He always had a pleasant smile and something nice to say. He will be missed.
I remember when June would drive Sis Lola Smith to the convention and they would stay the entire weekend.. and both he and Nelly would make sure she was taken care of the entire weekend.
